Review – Deceptive Innocence by Kyra Davis

Deceptive Innocence

Kyra Davis

Rating: 4/5 stars

Relationships are never what they seem to be. Some relationships are built on anger, hatred and a strong motivation of vengeance, Bell knows all about that. What can I tell you about this book? Um yes, the steam and intrigue bounced off every page with hints of suspense and mystery.

I became an addicted page turner. Enjoying the story so much that every time I put it down, I frowned.  I didn’t want to let go of the drama and information unfolding before my eyes. You see, Kyra Davis didn’t write characters with weak mindsets. Bell and Lander were strong forces coming together. She didn’t know she needed him as much as she did. And he knew her – felt her rage bouncing off her skin like a bad thunderstorm coming onto land.

While there was steam and intrigue, the only reason I gave this book four stars is because the love aspect didn’t deliver enough for me. The way Bell talked about loving Lander felt like a misconception. Her love was more deceptive than her reasons why she sought vengeance.

I can’t wait to read the next story and find out what these two are plotting together. More vengeance? More steamy bedroom scenes or alley’s again? Who knows, but I will soon find out. And the game of vengeance will be at the finger tips once again!
