The Lullaby Girl (Angie Pallerino #2)
Loreth Anne White
Don’t forget to check out my review of The Drowned Girls before you read this one!
Loreth Anne White is a thriller writer with a purpose to create and spin a tale of mystery, suspense and love to counterbalance female detective, Angie Pallerino. The second book in the series comes around full circle to bring answers to a cliffy ending from the first book. Loreth lures us further into Angie Pallerino’s dark and twisted past bringing just the right amount of eerie chill into a world full of depravity and sickness you wish you didn’t know about it — but then you’re so captured in a really good story — you wish you could fight along side Angie.
Well, yeah, you do have to do some things alone. You come into this world alone, and you go out alone. At the end of the day, its just you.
This book never disappoints. Each chapter has answers, each character in the story kept me wanting more. Like a ticking time-bomb, Angie Pallerino, or determined to succeed Maddox, but the only character that still remains a mystery is Holgerson! Hopefully book three will produce answers to the secrets he is keeping.
A riveting plot with impeccable character development, the story is one that is new and fresh, pulling at your heart strings. When Angie cracked emotionally, I found myself cracking along with her. When she was uncertain or couldn’t see something right in front of her face…. *cough, cough* Maddox, I rolled my eyes waiting for that love circle to unfold. The intensity is level high, the crime is over top with wickedly smart and alluring with details, which is why this book is a must read!
